The Voyage of the Eronauts

It appears that Eronauts has been back from the printers for two weeks, now. This means that if you've been lucky enough to catch me at a show I've been able to pass one on to you, and if not; never fear! There are more shows and on-line shopping options on the way.

So, here's a few bits and pieces about Eronauts:

The Track List:
1. Newcastle*
2. Mr. Winglass*
3. Below the Radar
4. Cartoon Bubbles* (go here for a free downlaod)
5. Annabelle

Some of these tracks will be pretty familar by now, as the demos and live recordings have been hanging around for a little while. But these recordings are all freshly produced, and in the case of the tracks with an asterisk, also include some of Tim Woods' sweet bass work and Adam Duffy's drumtastic drums.

The tracks were recorded near the end of April in what had been dubbed "Goblincore Ranch" by Richard Burleigh, and are a small sample of the songs floating around in my head for the past few years. Choosing what would and wouldn't be recorded was a difficult process, and I swear that one day "The Haunted Garden" and "MFTA" will be bloody well released. There is of course an underlying theme to tie it all together, but it's really something for you to define. Which is to say that I can't be arsed coming up with a lengthy essay on it.

So anyway, I hope to see you at a show soon, and we'll have news on an EP launch quite soon. And iTunes. And mail orders.

In the beginning, there was a 50hz hum...

Welcome, all, to the first Obvian related blog post. This is here really just to get the ball rolling, and to dip the proverbial toe into the pond. It would be nice if it was still attached to my foot when I pulled it back out.

If you've stumbled here by accident, well, you can investigate more of what this is all about at obvian.com for some free music and so forth. In the mean time, I'm getting ready to keep this updated with musical projects and so forth to keep myself busy, as well as anyone who so wishes to join the ride.

More news as it happens.
